JADE
I watched Luciano with bated breaths as he reclined back to his seat on the dinning.
He avoided my anxious stares and focused on eating his meal. But I could tell that he was no longer interested in his food.
He instead fiddled with it before taking little bites and his fist kept on balling and unballing. He was really struggling to control his rage.
Why would his so called brothers come in here, make flirtatious comments towards me and one had the audacity to tuck out a gun?
It felt like they had a sinister agenda in visiting him.
Was he not in good terms with them?
All these confusing questions and new discoveries were irking me to be honest.
Nobody wants to tell me what really goes on in this family! It feels like everybody is hiding something from me! Luciano inclusive.
Unable to concentrate on my food either, I dropped the cutleries in my hands and stared at Luciano. "What was all that?" I asked.
He stopped eating and slowly ascended his gaze to hold mine, "What do you mean?" He was playing dumb!
"Do not act fucking dumb with me. Your brothers came in here and they wanted to cause a scene here. With the manner in which they spoke to you, it is very clear that you all are not on speaking terms. Why?" I demanded an explanation.
Luciano picked a napkin, using it to wipe off any food stains of his lips before speaking."I have no clue what you are speaking off. They only came here to welcome I and you Jade"
"And yet one brought about a gun and he seemed like he would aim it at you any moment from then!" I fired back.
Did he think I was a three year old that could not decipher a peaceful home from one that lacked unity?
I was not born yesterday.
"This is America Jade. It is legal to own a gun. For safety reasons. You can see for yourself that this family is filthy rich. We need all the protection we can get from unscrupulous people that might try to harm us for our wealth.
My brother would never think of aiming his gun at me. Him bringing it out did not mean anything" Luciano calmly replied.
I stared at him dumbfounded. "This is what I fucking hate! I am your wife for christsakes! I never wanted to be your wife but here I am. Atleast treat me as one. Why are you hiding things from me?! What is going on in this family. Everybody here behaves uncanny!" I was practically pleading with him right now for answers.
Luciano was unfazed by my outburst. Instead he stood up and ambled over to where I sat. Placing his hands on my shoulders, his lips descended for my ears.
"I am not hiding anything from you sweetheart. Believe it or not. It is your choice"
That was not even comforting at all.
"Fine. Do not tell me anything but I shall soon find out. Till then enjoy your peace" I spat with annoyance, bolting up from my own seat and abruptly dropping my cutleries.
"Fiesty little wife of mine" he teased. "I am quite satisfied with dinner tonight. Shall we retire to bed together?"
I nodded, my eyes still mirroring my annoyance. Leading the way, Luciano climbed the stairs whilst I followed suit.
As we walked in the silence towards our bedroom, I realised I had not even stepped inside it since I came here.
The thought of consummating our marraige filled my thoughts. I will have to speak to him concerning that. We have not really gotten a chance to speak to one another concerning our first night together.
Luciano took me through the dimly lit hallways in silence till we finally stood before a huge white door with intricate carvings engraved in it.
Pushing the door open, we walked into his king sized room.
It was just a monochrome of black colours. Black closest, a four poster king sized bed doused in black bedsheets and duvets--from the rug to colour of the curtains, everything was stark black.
Luciano switching on the sunset lamp provided a fair amount of light to fully examine the gothic yet breath taking room.
Luciano was quite the bookworm I guess. I noticed a multitude of shelves stacked properly with books at the far end of the room. It was an antique of knowledge.
The room felt awfully cold even though the windows were shut tight.
"Won't you lie down or do you want to keep on staring?" Luciano drew me out of my thoughts as he went over to sit on the bed.
I blinked severally, realising I was still standing by the door of the room, moping at the interior of his bedroom like an idiot.
Darn it.
I slowly walked inside and closed the door behind me. With steady eyes, I watched Luciano pull off the buttons of his shirt one by one, revealing his abs and sculptured chest.
I darted my eyes away, forbidding myself from seeing further.
"Luciano there is something I want us to discuss" I decided to table the matter that had been weighing my mind.
"Sure spill it" this man was too authoritative.
"It has been on my mind for a while now. You know the circumstances in which we got married so I have a made the decision that I do not want to consummate my marriage with you" I divulged.
"Really?" He seemed rather amused by my words.
"Yes. I made the decision from the moment I stepped in here" I added.
"You made such a decision without even considering my emotions and opinions" Luciano slowly stood to his feet, his tall frame now shadowing mine.
"Excuse me? It is my body Luciano. I chose who to give it to and who not to" I definitively stated.
"And that body belongs to me. I can choose to rip off your clothes right now and then have my way with you. I can choose to disperse all the staffs right now and fuck you so hard that no matter how much you scream and plead, nobody will come to your rescue. I have the ability to treat you in any manner I wish, my dear bunny," Luciano spoke with a husky voice, the sound of it being so soft, yet carrying a rather eerie undertone.
Hearing him speak like that got me so petrified and I knew he was not bluffing.
I had to pull myself together so I would not melt out of fear.
"And do you think I will let you have your way that easily? I can defend myself from a molester Mr Luciano. Keep that right inside your filthy thoughts!" I scowled.
Luciano did not say a word after that.
He instead nodded his head accompanied by a smile on his lips.
"Are you feeling tired? I think we should sleep now. What do you say?"
What? One moment he was threatening on having me without my consent and then the next moment he was being so calm and reserved.
"Well I am stressed out" I replied.
"Then let us sleep. Goodnight Jade" Luciano simply stated before laying on one part of the bed leaving me in deep thoughts.

LUCIANO
I stared at the sleeping woman who laid some metres away from me. She had her body turned the other way which forbade me from observing her sleeping form.
Jade was stiff as a wood, curled up to a ball. She refused moving an inch from where she laid and I feared she might fall. She had barely even turned and twisted and now I am guessing she was fast asleep.
She was scared of me. And I would not blame her. After all I said to her hours ago, I expected her to react in a more worser way.
I hated myself for this. Sometimes I just can't keep my desires within myself.
Today had been one of the most eventful days of my life with my new bride. As for as my stupid step brothers, I will make sure I teach them a lesson.
They will definitely think twice before passing lustful comments towards my wife.
Growing up, we had been close but now, the thirst for power and wealth in this family had completely divided us.
Now they saw me as a rival, a competitor and their enemy.
I want to keep Jade far away from this toxicity and disunity in this family. She does not deserve to be involved in it.
I do like her boldness and audacious spirit though I was not quite expecting her to be this outspoken.
But I love seeing her feisty towards me, I loved the look on her face when I told her I had mistresses. It irked her but she was too stubborn to admit it.
But now she was frightened off me. That I did not like.
